Freemarket time … and something different to report

Today I find there is actually something different to report from the fleamarkets this weekend. On Saturday I came home with a Revell modell of the “U.S.S. Voyager” from Star Trek (more on that later). And today I could have gone mad … beside a lot of 1:35 scale military models (partly built and painted) I found some Carrera Universal cars which where worth their price.

A Opel Manta (Lexan), a Porsche and a A.C. Cobra Roadster. They cam together with a battered Porsche Carrera 6 (split bonnet) and a Cooper Climax (I think) in OK condition. Pictures will follow.

The fleamarket season has started for us. Today we visited the first one over here. First I thought like usually I won’t find anything but then I got myself a Carrera Porsche Turbo in orange.

It looks like it has been driven but overall quite careful. There are no “skid marks” visible on body or head and neither are parts broken. Due to the driving there is a little bit of melting inside the cockpit and I miss the fake engine at the rear end.

Typically for cars of this age the decals are a bit rough and inside the wheel arches you can see the residue of the tires. Overall with a bit of cleaning it should become a quite nice model though.
