… I have been a bit lazy with this site. The reason for it is simple, I am creating content for my new site Mini-RC-Tutorials. Besides creating the content there is quite some other things to manage, especially getting the design ready.

Friday, February 12th, 2010Online Modelling magazin from Sweden
Saturday, November 28th, 2009The IPMSStockholm gives a nice web-zine on their Internet site http://www.ipmsstockholm.org … you might ask yourself if your Swedish language skills are enough to understand their web-zine, but don’t worry, they have a large English section. The Nordics are a bit better in English language like many other countries, largely, I think due to the fact that they do not dub their movies.
But back to the facts … the site is online since 1997 and does have a quite extensive archive of articles about plastic scale modelling. They do offer the web-zine in Swedish and English, a news section, some helpful tips and more …
Actionfigurado – 1/6th scale Modelling
Thursday, October 8th, 2009Actually on Saturday we where scheduled to go to the actionfigurado in Duiven (Nederlands) with my company Mini-Lifestyle but due to health reasons we can not attend. It is a shame, since we always liked the appearance there …
This event is about 12 inch Actionfigures but the people interested in those are quite often not only collectors but also large scale model builders. And you get to see some good stuff there as well. The website of the event has some images of the last years, so go and have a look.

Their site is here: IG Micromodell and has parts available in English. (more…)
Starship Modeller – A resource for Science Fiction Modelers
Thursday, April 16th, 2009A big resource for starship and/or science fiction related modelling must be the site “Starship Modeler“. Personally I start at the news page of their site because it does provide good information about new kit and detailing part releases. If you checkout their sitemap, you can find loads of kit reviews and other information sorted by area of interest, called departments. You might remember that I linked this site already in part 5 of the X-Wing Project Series because of the amount of reference pictures found on site.

Building your own Paint booth for modelling
Friday, April 3rd, 2009If you are intending to spray paint or airbrush your models you should consider a paint booth. I mean a small one, not a large one like you’d find in a real body shop … Anyway, it is not hard to build one. Here is how to do a very simple one.

History of Slot Cars
Sunday, March 29th, 2009UK … the Home of the scalextric set, some even say the home of slot racing. Historical accounts though place the birth of the slot car in the US with the Lionel Manufacturing Co. , well known for its electrical train sets, producing the first commercially available set. It was approximately 1/24 scale or 1/2 inch-1-foot and was patented by J. Lionel Cowen for the Lionel Corporation. (more…)
