Decals for a Porsche 908/3

For the Porsche 908 Resin Kit I bought some parts quite a while ago. The only  decal set I found was sold via “Jens Scale Racing” and was made by BvH. The Sheet is for the Gulf coloured 908/3 which was raced by the Werksteam in 1970. There are decals for two cars, the Targa Florio and the 1000km Nürburgring. I will try to make it the Targa Florio Version, which I also have in 1/32 by Fly (upgraded with Slot.it parts).

Together with the decal sheet I also got me some Colour, the Werksfarbe “Gulf Blau” (Gulf blue), and a technic kit for building a car compliant to the DSC rules. These kits are good value for money and you get everything you need to build a chassis ready to compete (remember, I have 2 of them).

Do you know where to get decals for 124 clear lexan bodies? I like to make two (a 917 and 908) Gulf Porsches that raced in the 1970′s in blue and orange.

  2. You should try the 2 German links I posted, I bet they don’t make any problems sending the to wherever you want. It shouldn’t be an issue that they will be used on a lexan body, at the end it depends on how you protect them. I think you might even be able to apply them from the inside and then paint them over … but not tested though.

BhV has the 908/3 (the same set I have) still listed: http://www.bvh-decals.de/index.php?id=579 … look for the 1970 Nürburgring Sets.

I am interested in making one of these kits 908 3 Porsche with the #12 graphics. How would I go about purchasing?
    Thanks

  4. Hi Hal,

the onlineshop @ http://www.slotracing-werk.de/ has both a wiesel resin kit of the 908/3 and the BvH decals available and they do post outside of germany (although shop is only in german language).

BvH Decals (link see above) seem to work with e-mail ordering … not shure though.

    cheers

    Klaus
