Actually … YES. It might be a bit different from what most modellers think about modelling but even RC models are models at the end.

I got a good offer on this 1:28th scale (roughly) Mini Monster Truck and have to say: I like it. Get it out of the box, put batteries in and GO. That is the easiest RC Modelling there is. Have a look:

OK … I don’t know yet if it is possible to tune this one (but I doubt that it isn’t …) because I have not yet looked into the possibilities. All the other “small scale” RC car models can be tuned like their bigger brothers.
Do those small ones have an advantage over the bigger scale? It must be the space required as first point and then the more stable plastic bodywork instead of the lexan used for bigger ones. So the focus with these RC models lies on the technical side and not necessarily the pure modelling.
Another thing I like about these Carson X-Mod derived cars is that the body parts can be exchanged since the body is not molded in one piece but in several pieces … so go for your favorite body kit.
